The waltz originated in the late 1700s and has been an essential part of ballroom dancing ever since. We will illustrate waltzes from various eras with commentary on the historical development of the waltz.
Ragtime Couple DancesTB Sunday April 27, 2:00pm to 2:50pm, [Show on Grid]
Experience the couple dances of the ragtime era (1911-1914) including the one-step, foxtrot, tango and blues. Though these dances are from a particular period they are wonderful for music of any time period.
